Presented is an attractive group of 1970s Hostess Baseball Three-Card Panels, a popular but tricky food issue often bedeviled by the one-two punch of staining from all those scrumptious snack cakes they were packaged with and the onerous prospect of counting on the scissoring skills of a generation of American youngsters. Neither concern applies herein, since the whole group is pretty neatly cut and in Ex-Mt to Near-Mint overall condition, with the cut typically being precisely at or just outside the infamous dotted line. Here’s the breakdown: 1) 1976 Hostess (11): Aaron/Bell/Braun (4), Oliver/Simmons/Brett (2), Money/Eckersley/Jenkins (3), Munson/Reuschel/Bonds and Ryan/Monday/Nettles; 2) 1977 Hostess (5): Hunter/Candelaria/Ryan (3), Yastrzemski/Munson/Bench, and Seaver/Rose/Carew; 3) 1979 Hostess: Hrabosky/Munson/Buckner.
