Here’s a compelling artifact from that giddy year in the Windy City when the Go Go White Sox pulled off the miracle of the decade by putting the kibosh on what would ultimately have been the Yankees’ nine-year run of American League Pennants. This is a striking blue vintage 29-inch pennant commemorating that historic campaign, with all graphics and print screened in white. A scroll at the left side lists all 25 members plus Hall of Fame skipper Al Lopez; alongside is a spectacular graphic of a ballplayer and Comiskey Park. The classic pennant presents in Ex-Mt fashion, jostled only by a small piece of tape affixed to the very end of the tip.
