This is an important artifact from a key year in Topps’ history of producing football cards, an empty wax box that would have held 24 wax packs from that important issue, the company’s second in the now-standard 2 ½-by-3 ½-inch format. The offered box is in Good condition, with wear visible to several edges and corners. Imagining that this classic box might have held a Jim Brown Rookie card or two, along with dozens of others of the great Hall of Famers and legendary figures in NFL history, makes this a particularly appealing item to advanced collectors.
