Presented is a Houston Oilers helmet that boasts a spectacular autograph from one of the most revered players in the team’s fabled history, Earl Campbell. While the helmet cannot be afforded official game-worn status, the artifact lays claim to particular significance with the Hall of Famer’s autograph and inscription on the right side. The helmet has the Riddell shell, with the famed Oil Derrick logos intact on each side and the striping in good condition. Size 7 ¼ has apparently been written in marker on the inside; the facemask is present but detached and while the helmet shows considerable use, it does not extend to formal game use designation. Campbell’s autograph in black Sharpie appears on the right side, with “To Anthony, Best Wishes” and his uniform No. 34 added as inscriptions.
