Here are three outstanding Super Bowl press pins from the mid-1980s, showcasing the heroics of some of the great stars of the era and most notably the 1985 Bears team that captured the imagination of the NFL and beyond. All three pins are in essentially as-issued and problem-free condition, each coming in their original plastic cases. The breakdown: 1) Super Bowl XIX at Stanford Stadium in San Francisco, with the 49ers upending the Dolphins, 38-16 – Gold pin picturing the Golden Gate Bridge has highlighted XIX in red, with number 2701 engraved on the back; 2) Super Bowl XX at the Superdome in New Orleans, with the Bears drubbing the Patriots, 46-10 – silver representation of the famed Super Bowl Trophy has 004000 engraved on the back; and 3) Super Bowl XXII in San Diego, with Redskins defeating the Broncos, 42-10 – silver pin has accents on the famed NFL logo and XXII in red and blue has 2826 engraved on the back.
