The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co. sponsored this iconic series of H804-5 Baseball Comics Series that pictured four different images on 4 3/8-by-2 11/16-inch trade cards that feature cartoonish imagery printed in black, blue and tan colors. This particular example may well be the highest-graded version of the F-O-U-L BALL card at SGC 4, with nothing higher shown on the SGC website. It’s a truly marvelous example of a card series unique to the period, with imagery fairly commonplace at the time but more controversial with the passage of 140 years.
