This is easily one of the nicest groupings of the iconic 1955 Bowman Baseball issue that we have encountered in some time, a massive assortment with a dozen Hall of Famers, almost three dozen High Numbers and a consistent, mostly Near-Mint presentation that is dramatically better than this coveted issue is typically found in mature collections. There is significant duplication, including with some of the HOFers and top stars of the era, most with that extraordinary Near-Mint patina, with perhaps four dozen cards or so falling below the range, most of those to Ex-Mt. It is a simply stunning array, almost devoid of the dreaded chipping to the condition-sensitive, polished-wood television set borders, even among the quirky Blonde Wood grouping (94 cards). The Hall of Fame lineup includes: Wynn (3), Slaughter (2), Boudreau (2), Lemon (2), Kiner, Kell and Chylak.
