This is a really nice condition complete set of the popular 1960 Fleer Baseball Greats issue, the entry that marked the second year that Fleer produced a nationally distributed baseball set. After producing “The Life of Ted Williams” card set in 1959, the company turned to an old-timer’s issue the next year, with 78 all-time greats, including many of the greatest Hall of Famers in the game’s history, plus one current player they still had under contract, Ted Williams, in the final year of his fabled career. The offered set is in an attractive Ex-Mt to Near-Mint condition, with a consistent presentation of the color-coded sections of blue, green, red and yellow borders. The breakdown of keys: No. 1 Lajoie – Ex-Mt, No. 3 Ruth – VG-Ex, No. 6 Johnson – Excellent-Plus, No. 28 Gehrig – Near-Mint, No. 42 Cobb – VG-Ex, No. 53 Foxx – Ex-Mt-Plus, No. 62 Wagner – Ex-Plus and No. 72 Williams – Ex-Mt.
