This is an extraordinary array of pristine 1960 Topps cards, an amazing accumulation of largely Near-Mint and better cards, with some below mostly to Ex-Mt and including almost two dozen Hall of Famers, hundreds of stars, All-Stars and Specials, often with considerable duplication of some of the most popular players of the era. Quite literally several hundred cards probably edge up to Near-Mint to Mint status, a group that is largely confined to the second and fourth series and boasting the coveted “vending bend” that so eloquently bespeaks of uncirculated cardboard. If ever an auction lot held out rewards for some conscientious examination, this is it, so our listing is quite a bit more comprehensive than might traditionally be expected.
