This is a wonderful rendition of the important 1960 Bazooka Baseball issue, the three-card panels that were part of the box backs from the company’s bubble gum product, with panels here cut with uncommon precision, most exactly on the dotted line or slightly outside of it. The panels measure 2 ¾-by-5 ½ inches, with many of the individual cards portraying the biggest stars of the era, like Mantle, Mays, Aaron, Clemente, Banks, Kaline, Killebrew, Frank Robinson, Warren Spahn, and more, often in stunning photography that seemingly could have made the cut for regular-issue Topps cards of the period. With the careful scissoring, the panels are essentially Near-Mint, with perhaps a few Ex-Mt; all of the cards have a small, unobtrusive “1960” printed in pencil or ballpoint pen on the card backs.
