Like an adjacent lot of 1968 Topps Baseball, this massive accumulation of 1966 and 1967 Topps shares a lot of the same attributes, but is not quite as pristine. In this case, cards from 1966 (390) are broadly Excellent to Near-Mint or better, with some below, but with a very significant number of Near-Mint to Mint blazers; the much larger 1967 group (775) is just a whisper below that, with the same general condition parameters but several dozen cards jostled by some staining and water damage. That said, the configuration for both groups is similar: dozens of Hall of Famers and a like number of Specials, plus literally hundreds of stars and minor stars. Here’s the breakdown for 1966 Topps Baseball (390): No. 1 Mays – Ex-Mt o/c, 72 Perez – Ex-Mt, 110 Banks – Ex-Mt, 120 Killebrew – Ex-Mt, 132 Cepeda – Near-Mint, 160 Ford – Nr-Mt to Mt o/c, 195 Morgan – Nr-Mt to Mt o/c, and 288 Sutton Rookie – Nr-Mt o/c, plus Alston, Aparicio (6), Hunter, Niekro, Schoendienst (3), Uecker (3), Fregosi (3), Herman (3), four (4) League Leaders, 10 Team cards – including Yankees, Mets, Giants, Cubs and Reds – 10 Checklists and six (6) Combination cards; stars and minor stars include Abernethy, Felipe Alou, Matty Alou, Blair (3), Bouton, Callison, Carty (2), Cloninger (3), Colavito, Davenport (2), Tommy Davis, Dierker (2), Dressen, Flood, Francona, Freehan, Gentile (4), Grant (3), Groat (2), Ken Harrelson (4), Horton (4), Alex Johnson (3), Lou Johnson (3), Kessinger, Law (3), Lonborg (3), McCarver, McNally, Mele (3), Stu Miller, Mossi (2), Mota (2), Pappas (3), Pearson, Pepitone, Powell, Power, Rojas, Roseboro (3), Sanford (3), Siebern, Staub (2), Terry, Tresh and Wagner (2). 1967 Topps Baseball (775): No. 45 Maris – Near-Mint, 100 Frank Robinson – Nr-Mt, 140 Stargell – Nr-Mt, 146 Carlton – Nr-Mt, 210 Gibson – Nr-Mt o/c, 285 Brock – Nr-Mt to Mt o/c, 335 Yastrzemski – Nr-Mt and 570 Wills – Nr-Mt-Plus, plus Alston (2), Aparicio (2), Cepeda (2), Drysdale, Gibson (2), Mathews, Schoendienst, Niekro, Perry, Santo (2), Stargell (2), Sutton, Torre (2), Uecker (2), Jenkins, Fregosi, Wilhelm (3) and Williams (3), plus 16 League Leaders, 11 Checklists, five (5) World Series subset, 14 Combination cards and 24 Teams (14 different); stars and minor stars include Aguirre (2), Richie Allen, Allison (2), Jesus Alou (2), Matty Alou (2), Amaro, Barber, Battey (3), Beckert (2), Belinsky, Blair, Bouton, Clete Boyer (2), Ken Boyer (2), Burdette, Callison (2), Carty (2), Cloninger, Conigliaro (2), Cuellar, Dark Davenport, Tommy Davis, Willie Davis, Dierker, Downing, Face, Fairly, Flood (3), Francona, Groat (2), Hands, Ken Harrelson (2), Hart (3), Hodges (3), Holtzman, Horton (2), Houk, Elston Howard (3), Frank Howard (2), Lou Jackson, Javier (2), Alex Johnson (2), Dave Johnson, Deron Johnson, Lou Johnson, Johnstone, Kaat, Kessinger, Lau (3), Law, Lolich (2), Lonborg, Maloney, Mantilla, Mauch, McCarver, McDowell (2), McNally (2), Mele (2), Mincher (2), Mota, Oliva, Osteen, O'Toole, Pappas, Parker (2), Pepitone, Peters (2), Powell (2), Podres, Rollins (2), Romano (2), Roseboro (2), Salmon, Short, Siebern, Siebert (2), Skowron (2), Mayo Smith (2), Stanky (2), Staub (4), Taylor (2), Terry, Tiant, Tresh, Veale (2), Versalles (2) and Wagner.
