Offered is a high-grade near set of the colorful 1971 Topps Baseball Supers, the oversized – 3 1/8-by-5 ¼-inch cards that showcase the great stars of the era in wonderful color photography in spectacular fashion. The cards, printed on a ultra-heavy card stock, feature photography that bleeds to the full dimensions of the borderless cards, which also have rounded corners that can ease some of the traditional condition concerns. In this case it isn't much of an issue, as the near set, missing only No. 20 Pete Rose – is essentially Ex-Mt to Near-Mint, with the emphasis to the upper end of the spectrum; some of the card backs, which more easily reveal even the slightest wear, are closer to Excellent; a single card, No. 18 Dave McNally, is Very Good. The lineup of 1971 Topps Supers features a Hall of Famer pedigree that includes Aaron, Bench, Clemente, Jackson, Kaline, Killebrew, Mays, Brooks Robinson and Yastrzemski.
