Presented is an imposing array of the popular Topps insert posters from its mainstream card issues in the late 1960s and early 1970’s, a grouping that features many of the brightest stars from all three sports during the period. Given the delicate condition difficulties of large posters printed on thin stock, the condition suggested herein refer primarily to how a poster presents; technical grades might be a whisper lower from small tears, pinholes or minimal cracking. Here’s the breakdown: 1967 Topps Baseball Posters 5-by-7 inches (3) – No. 8 McDowell – Ex-Mt (small tear), 14 Callison – Very Good (tear) and 16 Drysdale – Ex-Mt (tear); 1968 Topps Football Posters 5-by-7 inches (3), including No. 12 – Ex with pinhole, 13 Lincoln – Ex-Plus and 15 Dawson – VG-Ex with pinhole; 1970 Topps Basketball Posters 8-by-10 inches, partial set with duplication (35), mostly Ex-Mt to Near-Mint, with the emphasis to Near-Mint – No. 2, 3 Reed (3), 4 Hayes (2), 5 Mullins, 6 Robertson (2), 8 Sloan (2), 9 (2), 11 (2), 12 (3), 13 Alcindor, 14 Walker, 15 West, 16 Cunningham (3), 17 Chamberlain, 18 Havlicek, 19 Hudson, 20 Monroe, 21 Unseld (2), 22 Hawkins, 23 (2) and 24 (2); 1970 Topps Baseball Posters 8 ½-by-10 inches (10) – No. 3 – Ex-Mt (small cracks), 6 – Ex-Mt-Plus, 7 McCovey – VG with small pencil notation of 25 cents, 9 – Ex-Mt-Plus, 12 Frank Robinson – VG, 14 – Ex-Mt-Plus, 15 – Ex-Mt-Plus with tiny tear, 19 – Fair, 20 – Ex-Mt and 23 – Poor; 1970 Topps Football Posters 8-by-10 inches (21), mostly Ex-Mt to Near-Mint – No. 1 Sayers, 2 Bell (4), 3 Gabriel (3), 4 (2), 5, 6 Eller (2), 7 Mack, 8 Jones, 9 Robinson, 10 Stenerud (2), 12 Barney, 19 Lilly and 21 Hill.
