Offered is a Wilson Pro Model Snap Action Fielder’s Glove used by Detroit Tigers backup catcher Jimmie Price, a member of the 1968 World Series Championship squad that upset the favored St. Louis Cardinals and Bob Gibson in a seven-game thriller that October. The glove has the Grip-Tite Pocket and “The A 2001” on the outside of the thumb, and the Triple Lock Web; the cloth Wilson logo on the strap has worn almost entirely away. “Price” and No. 12 are written on the finger; the glove shows good use, with straps and lacing intact. The glove was originally Ray Oyler's fielding glove, but was given to Price and used for fielding practice. Price batted .214 lifetime, with 18 home runs and 71 RBI in his five-year stint with the Tigers.
