This is a massive, imposing accumulation of mostly unimprovable Topps football cards from the 1980s, including five complete sets and then almost another 3,500 in largely the same condition, a group that includes huge numbers of Hall of Famers, stars and Specials. Here’s the breakdown (for the extras section the card numbers are approximate): 1980 Topps Football Complete Sets (2 sets, 528 cards each), mostly Near-Mint or better, with some Ex-Mt; 1981 Topps Football (528), largely as-issued, Near-Mint or better (Montana Rookie – Near-Mint); 1982 Topps Football (528), mostly Near-Mint, with some Ex-Mt; and 1983 Topps Football (528), mostly Near-Mint, with some Ex-Mt; Massive group of extras (3,475), for 1981-82 mostly Near-Mint, with some Ex-Mt, and from 1983-87 a bit better, generally Near-Mint or better, with a few below, with many HOFers and Specials included in the mix – 1980 (300); 1981 (500), 1982 (425), 1983 (675), 1984 (550), 1985 (450) and 1987 (450), plus an additional 125 cards from the 1,000-Yard Club subsets of various years.
