This is a cool piece, a 1976-77 New England Patriots game-worn helmet attributed to veteran tight end Albert Chandler. The MacGregor Laminate helmet has the geodetic suspension 100 MHG, with leather padding and leather jaw pads and cream front bumper; “Chandler” is marked on athletic tape under the right ear hole. Center striping and logos beneath laminate and well protected; has hi/low hookup chinstrap and lower back shell sports MacGregor Size 7 5/8 and No. 87 in correct font. The blue/white on red striping on the exterior of laminate is correct; the face mask is missing. Shows solid wear.
