Presented is a fascinating array of baseball peripherals primarily from the 1960s and early 1970s, an array blessed with more than 100 Hall of Famers and neatly providing a sampling of some of the unique non-mainstream Topps issues from the era. The lineup includes almost four dozen cards from the popular 1959 Fleer Life of Ted Williams series, 1961 Nu-Card Scoops, Post Cereal cards from all three years of their fabled run, almost four dozen 1970 and 1971 Topps Supers, plus a huge pile of an estimated 150 or so of the charming 1971 Topps Coins. It’s the kind of lot that argues for a good deal of close examination, but a bit of diligence can pay dividends for the winning bidder.
