Here are five complete Topps baseball sets from the dawn of the 1980s, issues more than 35 years old but still looking just as they must have when they rolled off the presses, mostly Near-Mint to Mint, with some Near-Mint and overall a stunning, as-issued presentation. A PSA 6 Rickey Henderson 1980 Rookie card headlines a freshman class that includes names Like Ripken, Gwynn, Boggs, Sandberg, Mattingly, Puckett and McGwire. A boffo lineup of complete Topps sets from 1980-85 is augmented by the company’s first-five boxed Update sets, the latter in even better condition, essentially Mint monsters with stunning color and gloss. The breakdown: 1) 1980 (726); 2) 1981 (726); 3) 1982 (792); 4) 1983 (792); 5) 1984 (792); 6) 1985 (792); and 7) Topps Boxed Update Sets (132 cards each) from 1981-85.
