Here’s one of the most important “cards” from the elegant 1912 S81 Silk Series, the 6 ¾-by-9 ¾-inch treasures that were printed on silk fabric, giving new and perhaps initial meaning to the idea of condition sensitive. The series featured the identical artwork in most cases to the similarly spectacular T3 Turkey Red issue. The Christy Mathewson is offered here in Fair condition.
