This is an outstanding partial set featuring some of the most exquisite black-and-white photography of the period in a difficult, uncatalogued issue that is likened to the famous Picture Pak team-issued cards that were still decades in the future. These photos are all from 1924, as they also appear in the 1924 World Series Program (Washington version). As noted, the 4 ½-by 5-inch photos are nothing short of sensational, featuring a lineup that includes Hall of Famers Goose Goslin, Sam Rice, Bucky Harris and Joe Judge. The breakdown: Bleuge – Poor, Goslin – Excellent, Harris – Good, Judge – Good, Liebold – Poor, Marberry – Good, Martina – Ex, McNeely – Poor, Mogridge – Poor, Ogden – Ex, Peckinpaugh – Poor, Rice – Very Good, Ruel – Ex-Plus, Russell – Good, Speece – Poor, Taylor – Ex-Plus, Zachary – Ex and Zahniser – Poor. Most of the photos have black residue on the back due to being removed from an album, with four (Bluege, Peckinpaugh, Rice, McNeely) being blank-backed and the others containing the "National Photo" stamping.
