Here are two important subsets within the broader 1947 Tip-Top Bread issue, the 2 ¼-by-3-inch cards that are comprised of a number of regionally distributed team sets, in this case the St. Louis Browns and Cardinals. The St. Louis Cardinals subset is pretty uniformly Good, with one Very Good; the Browns subset – missing Sanford and Schultz – is almost evenly divided between Good and ½ Fair and Poor.
