Presented is a truly extraordinary near set of a difficult 1950s regional food issue, the 2 5/8-by-3 ¾-inch treasures that are found here with the vast majority (19/25) of the array neatly ensconced in PSA holders, providing an official blessing of cards that are very tough to find in upper grades because of the rigors of being packaged alongside frankfurters. The three missing cards from the set are Houtteman, Ginsberg and Kuenn. The breakdown of slabs (19): PSA 2 (6) - Delsing (mk), Hitchcock, Lund, Mullin, Souchock and Sullivan; PSA 1.5 (2) – Bucha and Herbert; and PSA 1 (10) – Batts, Dropo (mk), Erickson, Foytack, Friend, Garver, Gray, Jordan, Madison and Wright. The raw group (6) includes Pesky – Good, Carswell – Fair, Hatfield – Fair, Hoeft – Fair, Marlowe – Fair and Nieman – Fair.
