Here’s one of the important and difficult food issues from the 1950s, the 2 ½-by-3 5/8-inch Dan-Dee Potato Chips series, found here in a fairly typical condition range of Good to Excellent. The breakdown: Excellent (4) – Avila, Doby, Gordon and La Palm; VG-Ex (5) – Feller, Friend, Houtteman, Irvin and Smith; Very Good (9) – Bauer, Cooper, Easter, Hodges, Lopez, Mitchell, Rizzuto, Strickland and Westlake; Good (11) – Garcia, Hegan, Lemon, Mantle – PSA 2, Roberts, Rosen, Schoendienst, Snider, Surkont, Thomas and Wynn.
