Presented is a really impressive partial set of the classic 1955 Topps Baseball issue, an accumulation that is largely Ex-Mt to Near-Mint, with some below and the emphasis to the upper end of the spectrum. The cards boast superb color and gloss and could likely provide an upgrade to even the nicest existing sets; cards that fall within the difficult high series as not quite as good as the earlier numbers, perhaps closer to Excellent to Ex-Mt. In either case the offered cards are significantly better than these coveted cards are typically encountered in mature collections. The breakdown: No. 1 Rhodes – Ex-Mt-Plus, 10 – Good, 22 Skowron – Near-Mint, 23 – Fair, 24 Newhouser – VG-Ex, 40 – Fair, 50 Robinson – presents Near-Mint in a PSA miscut sleeve, 63 – VG-Ex, 64 – Fair, 72 – VG, 106 – Ex, 109 – VG, 115 – VG-Ex, 120 Kluszewski – Ex-Plus, 125 Boyer Rookie – VG, 132 – Ex, 136 – Ex, 151 – Ex, 154 – VG-Ex, 158 – VG, 159 – VG, 160 – Ex, 161 Tanner – VG-Ex, 162 – Good, 163 – VG, 165 – Ex, 166 – VG-Ex, 167 – Ex, 168 – Ex, 177 – VG, 181 – VG, 179 Rizzuto – VG-Ex, 180 Labine – Ex-Mt, 200 Jensen – Ex-Mt-Plus, 201 Lollar – VG-Ex, 202 – VG, 204 – VG-Ex and 206 – VG. While some of the key Hall of Famers are missing from this array, there are a significant number of stars and minor stars, among them Sievers, Podres, Groat, Power, Sauer, Triandos, Moon, Conley, Zimmer, Zernial, Long, Parnell, Lynch, McMillan, Stanky, Sain and Smith.
