This is an imposing group of Post Cereal baseball cards from the company’s legendary foray into the card arena in the early 1960s, an array with considerable duplication and a lineup that includes a couple of Hall of Famers and a number of stars, minor stars and commons. The cards are reasonably well cut and fall within a range of Very Good to Excellent, with some below and, as noted, some very significant duplication. In the listing that follows, only the numbers with three or more cards are shown, though there are literally many dozens of instances of a single duplicate. The breakdown: 1961 (257) – No. 17 (3), 44 (4), 45 (3), 46 (3), 67 (4), 88 Herzog (4), 89 (5), 95 (5), 99 (6), 1 00 (4), 114 (6), 120 (6), 123 (4), 124 (6), 125 (3), 137 (3), 148 (3), 149 (3), 150 (3), 152 (6), 155 (4), 169 (4), 170 (6), 173 (3), 180 (4), 187 (5), 188 (7), 189 (3), 190 (6), 196 Santo, 197 (4), 199 (3) and 200 (6); 1962 (210) – No. 13 (4), 33 (3), 34 (3), 39 (3), 42 (4), 48 (4), 53 (4), 56 (4), 58 (4), 64 (3), 65 (3), 66 (3), 67 (3), 71 (3), 76 (5), 79 (4), 88 (3), 89 (3), 90 (3), 94 (3), 96 (3), 98 (3), 100 (3), 105 (3), 106 (3), 118 (5), 128 (3), 132 (5), 141 (3), 146 (4), 163 (3), 183 (3) and 197 (4); 1963 (100) – No. 31 (3), 63 (3), 65 (3), 83 (3), 111 (3), 157 (3) and 175 (3).
