Offered Is a high-grade group of the condition-sensitive 1962 Topps Baseball issue, an array headlined by 14 slabbed cards that include a number of key stars and Rookies, plus a large binder of (242) raw cards that includes eight Hall of Famers, many stars and a boatload of Specials. The slabbed group is dominated by Near-Mint to Near-Mint to Mint blazers, including a PSA 9, seven (7) PSA 8s and three SGC 88s, and headlined by a blazing PSA 7 No. 1 Maris card. The raw card array is broadly Ex-Mt to Near-Mint, with some below, and includes 26 cards from the difficult High Number Series Seven and a number of the key Hall of Famers from the issue, including Henry Aaron, Roberto Clemente, Sandy Koufax, Al Kaline, Yogi Berra, White Ford and Juan Marichal, along with eight cards from the coveted Babe Ruth Thrills subset in Series Two. The whole array of raw cards is presented in spectacular fashion in the popular M.J. Roop Archival binder, probably the most attractive presentation of cards in sheets extant, boasting heavy-board slip case, vinyl cover page and checklist and silver stamping on jet-black binder (Near-Mint or better). The slabbed card lineup (13 PSA and one SGC): PSA 8 – No. 94; PSA 7 (12) – No. 1 Maris, 31 Tresh Rookie, 53 League Leaders (Mantle/Maris), 137 Ruth/Huggins (SGC 84), 139 Ruth 60th HR, 163, 250, 251 Yankees Team, 391 Mazeroski All-Star, 401 Home Run Kings, 461 Hubbs and 469 Aparicio All-Star; PSA 6 – No. 60 League Leaders (Koufax). The raw card lineup: Aaron (VG-Ex), Clemente (VG), Koufax (Ex-Mt), Kaline, Mathews, Berra (m/c), Ford (Ex-Mt), Marichal, Reniff (Pitching), Ruth 60th HR (Nr-Mt), Ruth/Gehrig (Ex-Mt), Manager’s Dream (Nr-Mt), Mays All-Star (Ex-Mt), Pepitone and McDowell Rookies, plus seven (7) League Leaders, six (6) Ruth subset, four (4) All-Stars (Mays and Frank Robinson), and 26 high numbers from Series Seven.
