Here’s a huge array of 1964 Topps baseball cards, an assemblage with primary distribution over the first four series and with considerable duplication that includes more than 50 Hall of Famers and a boatload of Specials and stars, headlined by cards from Koufax, Mays, Rose, Berra, Brock, Killebrew, Maris, Yastrzemski and a host of others. With the Series One through Five emphasis, it’s a partial set missing about 52 numbers up to No. 371, and then a smattering of cards (about 80) are present for Series Five and Six, and nothing from the Seventh Series. The cards are broadly Very Good to Ex-Mt, with some above and below the range and the emphasis to Excellent to Ex-Mt. As noted, there is significant duplication, even occurring among the Hall of Fame roster, along with similarly noteworthy totals for stars, minor stars and Specials. In the listings below, some of the more significant duplication and keys are shown (all player cards are the regular-issue version unless otherwise indicated). The breakdown: By Series – Series One 1-88 (145), including 18 League Leaders; Series Two 89-176 (345), including 17 World Series subset cards; Series Three 177-264 (148); Series Four 265-352 (196); Series Five 353-440 (48); and Series Six 441-522 (36); Individual Numbers: No. 13 Wilhelm – Excellent, 21 Berra, 29 Brock, 102 Checklist (4, two are mk), 110 Drysdale (5), 125 Rose (2 – VG-Ex and Good), 146 John Rookie (4), 150 Mays (2 – VG), 155 Snider (7), 157 Mauch (7), 167 Piniella Rookie (8), 175 Williams (3), 177 Killebrew (7), 188 Checklist (6), 190 Richardson (8), 200 Koufax – VG-Ex, 210 Yastrzemski – VG-Ex, 225 Maris – VG, 243 Allen Rookie – Ex, 244 LaRussa Rookie – VG-Ex, 280 Marichal, 285 Roberts (3), 287 Tony Conigliaro Rookie (3), 300 Aaron – Ex-Mt, 306 Giants Gunners (5), 324 Stengel, 331 AL Bombers (3), 342 Stargell and 350 McCovey (3).
