This is a truly remarkable array of spectacular Near-Mint to Near-Mint to Mint cards from the condition-sensitive 1971 Topps Baseball issue, with incredibly crisp and vivid black borders and great gloss and super clean card backs. In a grouping of obviously uncirculated cards from vending, there are stars, minor stars and Specials, along with a startling amount of duplication, often with some of the key names in the group. Here’s a breakdown of some of the more significant duplication: Watt (25), Cain (20), Horton (18), Clendenon (17), Belfry (16), Tony Conigliaro (15), Rojas (15), Lucchesi (15), Belanger (13), Frisella (12), Fosse (11), Tiant (10), Mota (9) and Gullett (9).
