Here’s the popular 1974 Topps Baseball Complete Set and a huge pile of extras, all in a condition range that is a bit wider than these cards are typically encountered in mature collections – basically Excellent to Near-Mint, with some below and the emphasis to Ex-Mt. The set marks the first year that Topps would issue the entire set all at once rather than in series over the course of the spring and summer. Breakdown of keys for the complete set (660): No. 1 Aaron – Excellent-Plus, 4 Aaron Special – Good, 10 Bench – Near-Mint, 20 Ryan – Very Good, 50 Carew – Nr-Mt, 95 Morgan – Nr-Mt, 100 Stargell – VG, 130 Jackson – Fair, 283 Schmidt – Nr-Mt, 300 Rose – Ex-Mt and 456 Winfield Rookie – Nr-Mt o/c. The extras array (1,400) features enormous duplication, with many stars and Specials included, with more than 100 of the Team Checklists.
