Here’s a simply outstanding example of one of the coveted keys from the popular 1958-62 Hartland Plastics Series of 8 ½-inch plastic figures that were sold at ballparks and departments stores 60 years ago and remain beloved so many decades later in the hobby. The figures alone command great interest and enthusiasm, which is greatly enhanced with the rare inclusion of the original box and the store tag, both of which are found here. The classic Hartland original box is technically Fair because of minor tears and a tiny section missing, but presents quite nicely; the figure and accompanying red store tag are Near-Mint, with the bat included. The figure balances nicely, apparently with the addition of a tiny piece of fabric affixed under each shoe.
