Here’s the classic “super sized” card set that marked the addition of ABA teams to the NBA that season, an array that is easily Near-Mint or better, with a few Ex-Mt cards, and a marvelous artifact commemorating that historic campaign. The massive 5 ¼-by-3 1/8-inch cards – the largest mainstream issue ever produced by Topps – boast exceptional colors and gloss, along with uncommonly clean and bright card backs, creating a remarkable pristine and uniform presentation. A handful of condition anomalies includes No. 1 Erving – Ex-Plus, No. 20 Archibald – Ex-Mt, No. 48 Checklist – Ex-Mt-Plus and No. 110 Thompson Rookie – Ex-Mt-Plus. The key No. 100 Abdul-Jabbar card presents in matching Near-Mint fashion to the rest of the group, but reveals a barely perceptible wrinkle at the center.
