Offered is a sparkling red durene 1960s jersey from one of the prominent AAU teams of the era, the Phillips 66ers out of Oklahoma and sponsored by Phillips Petroleum. The shirt is attributed to Ron Peyser, a former Indiana University forward who played sporadically for the Hoosiers from 1962-65. The shirt has 3/8th-inch black/white/black trim and red arm yokes, with white-on-black sewn-on identifiers. It boasts truly spectacular vertical arch alphanumeric identifiers on the front and is in wonderful condition. Rawlings Size 40 label appears at the tail, with washing instructions on the inner tail, with extra length apparent. AAU basketball was a significant force in the amateur hoops arena for decades between the 1930s and 1950s, claiming legendary alumni like Billy Melchionni, Don Kojis and Ray Ebbing.
