Presented is a handsome complete set of one of the more popular non-sport issues of the Depression, the amazingly colorful 1933-34 National Chicle set, the 2 5/8-by-2 7/8-inch cards that depict famous pilots and aviation pioneers and legendary aircraft from the earliest days of flight. The cards boast campy, extremely colorful artwork in an array that is found here in a condition that is fairly typical of how these coveted cards are typically encountered in mature collections. It comes out to 18 percent Ex-Mt, 49 percent Very Good to VG-Ex, 25 percent Good and 8 percent below. Breakdown of keys: No. 1 – Good, 20 Rickenbacker – Very Good, 32 Doolittle – VG, 36 Lindbergh – VG, 48 Earhart – VG-Ex, 49 Wright – Good, 60 Amundsen – Poor, 72 Spirit of St. Louis – Good and 108 – Fair.
