Presented is a handsome example of the unique 1941 Gum Inc. R158 Uncle Sam/Home Defense, a unique dual element issue that showcased the four branches of the U.S. Military and also the civilian defense efforts in attractive, colorful artwork on 2 ½-by-3 1/8-inch cards. The Uncle Sam subset is divided between the various branches of service, and is found here in an attractive, consistent presentation that comes out to 19 percent Excellent, 55 percent Very Good, 24 percent Good and just 2 percent below.
