Presented is an amazing array of popular non-sport (and a few sports) issues from around the world and across a half century, colorful cards picturing airplanes, autos, trains, ships, cowboys, aviators, pioneers, explorers, movie and television stars, soccer and track and field. It’s an incredible opportunity for type collectors or non-sport fans to pick up literally hundreds of popular cards from so many different genres, most in a highly collectible condition. It’s the kind of auction lot that begs for a good deal of careful examination. Here goes: 1) 1910 Hassan World’s Greatest Explorers T118 Complete Set (25) – Good to Very Good; 2) 1910 T218 Champions Partial Set (82/153) – 2 ½-by-2 7/8-inch cards, mostly Good to Very Good and some duplication, with four slabs – Ljungstrom, Tippett, Hayes and Northridge – all SGC 40; 3) 1933 Sanella Margarine (Germany) – 2 ¾-by-4 1/8-inch cards on thin paper stock (110) – featuring simply spectacular artwork from a number of different sports (no Ruth); 4) 1934 British American Tobacco “Hints on Association Football” 1 3/8-by-2 ½-inch cards (32/48), Chinese version – Excellent to Ex-Mt, with some below; 5) 1940 Wings Cigarettes Airplanes Partial Set (69) – 2 ½-by-1 ¾ inches, Good to Excellent, with some duplication; 6) 1949 Bowman Wild West Series Partial Set (151/180) – 2 ½-by-2-inch cards mostly Good to Very Good, with some above and below (by subsets – A – 23/40; B – 20/20; C – 11/20; D – 17/20; E – 12/20; F – 11/20; G – 17/20 and two subset H’s – 20/20); 7) 1951 Bowman Red Menace Complete Set (48) – Fair to Good, with some Very Good; 8) 1952 Topps Wings Complete Set (200) – 2 5/8-by-3 ¾-inch cards, mostly Fair to Good, with some Very Good; 9) 1952 Bowman Television and Radio Stars of NBC Partial Set (59) – mostly Excellent to Ex-Mt, with some below and some duplication; 10) 1953 Bowman Antique Autos Complete Set (48) – 2 ½-by-3 ¾-inch cards, mostly Near-Mint; 11) 1955 Topps Rails & Sails Partial Set (99/200) – 2 ¼-by-3 ¾-inch cards, Excellent to Ex-Mt; 12) 1958 Topps Westerns Partial Set (47 different) – Excellent to Ex-Mt; 13) Miscellaneous (28), including 16 duplicates from above issues and a dozen Famous Aviators, including a 1934 National Chicle Skybirds No. 36 Lindbergh – Very Good.
