This is a cool item linked to turn-of-the-century third baseman Bill Bradley asking for game tickets that he is requesting on behalf of a Catholic priest who would be visiting Detroit after June 15 that year. The letter is presumably sent to a Detroit official and is written in fountain pen on elegant, Cleveland Indians club stationery; included is a pencil notation from a club official noting how the game pass would be provided upon the priest’s arrival in Detroit. Bradley was a 14-year MLB veteran from 1899-1910, playing for Cleveland from 1901 to the end of his career. He had a .271 lifetime average and compiled his career-best in 1902, hitting at a .340 clip. Basic COA from BAS.
