Here’s a wonderful artifact from an historic World Series Game Five, a handsome ticket stub from the bleachers that would bear witness to Spud Chandler’s Series-clinching 2-0 shutout behind a two-run homer from Hall of Fame catcher Bill Dickey. The Game Five victory for the Bronx Bombers avenged their five-game Series defeat at the hands of the very same Cardinals a year earlier. The 4 5/8-by-2 3/8-inch stub is quite neatly perforated and presents in Very Good condition.
