Presented is an important group of ticket stubs from the epic “Wait Till Next Year” World Series when the Brooklyn Dodgers finally upended their uptown rivals in the Fall Classic to earn the one-and-only World Series title for the club with a Brooklyn Borough home address. The 4 1/8-by-2 3/8-inch stubs are quite neatly perforated in two of the three instances. The breakdown: 1) Game One at Yankee Stadium (Jackie Robinson’s iconic steal of home) – Excellent; 2) Game Two at Yankee Stadium – a bit rougher tear – Very Good; and 3) Game Five at Ebbets Field – Excellent-Plus.
