Presented is a truly imposing array of the coveted 1955 Bowman Baseball issue, a group that features many of the key cards from the issue, including Mickey Mantle, Yogi Berra, Bob Feller, Ralph Kiner and a half dozen other Hall of Famers. The grouping is predominately Ex-Mt to Near-Mint to Mint and boasts more than two dozen cards in PSA slabs, plus a total of 17 cards from the difficult high-number series. The classic cards from Bowman’s final entry in its postwar tenure producing baseball cards feature the iconic “television set” design, with the great stars of the era pictured here in ostensible color TVs, not exactly commonplace in American households in the mid-1950s. The offered array (slabbed and raw) represents roughly 1/3 of a complete set and comes out to 39 percent being Near-Mint to Near-Mint to Mint, 25 percent Ex-Mt to Ex-Mt-Plus, 17 percent Excellent to Excellent-Plus and 15 percent VG-Ex to VG-Ex-Plus, with just a handful of cards below, mostly to Very Good.
