Presented is a highly attractive complete set of 1958 Topps Baseball, the colorful classic that represented Topps’ second production in the now-standard 2 ½- by-3 ½-inch size, in this instance in an array that is markedly better than this important issue is typically encountered in mature collections. It comes out to seven percent Near-Mint, 28 percent Ex-Mt, 34 percent Excellent, 25 percent Very Good and only five percent below, most of those to Good. Four cards have been third-party slabbed and graded: No. 30 Aaron – SGC 40, No. 81 – SGC 40, No. 150 Mantle – SGC 40 and No. 487 Mantle All-Star – PSA 4. About 24 percent of the array have the kind of centering that might typically prompt thoughts of an upgrade, though not all of those would be severe enough to dictate a formal off-center designation.
