Offered is an attractive early Atlanta Braves jersey from veteran lefty starter George Stone, a home pinstripe flannel with seven-button front all intact. The famed “Braves” in script is on the front in navy tackle twill (all original); the similarly iconic Screaming Brave patch is on the left sleeve, all original and intact and zig-zag affixed. The shirt has the ragland sleeve construction of the upper body; the back No. 1 is team-initiated change for camp or minors usage. The Wilson Size 42 labeling appears at the tail showing solid wear, with collar flannel swatch in black chain-link stitching “Stone 1970 – Set 1.” The inner collar on the upper back has a faded “Chico Iglesias” in marker. The shirt is clean and reveals solid wear. Stone was a notable starting pitcher for the Braves and Mets over a nine-year career, compiling a 60-57 log over that span.
