This is another important piece from the 1980 Cy Young Award winner and popular Windy City broadcaster Steve Stone, a game-worn blazer from the tail end of his career and his first year in Baltimore. The home knit white jersey has the six-button front with stretch-ribbed orange and black, with black/white/orange sleeve accents. It has two-color orange-on-black tackle twill for the No. 32, team name and NOB. The original NOB plate is intact, which can be a difficult item to find. Stone started his stint with the Orioles wearing No. 21 before switching to No. 32 later in the season and in his epic 25-7 campaign in 1980. The shirt has Rawlings Size 40 labeling at the inside front-left tail, with “Set 1 1979” flap tag original and intact, all showing solid wear. The shirt boasts excellent and consistent wear throughout. Stone ended his 11-year playing career with an 107-93 log and 3.97 ERA for four teams, tucking away that historic Cy Young Award in the process, then turned himself into a highly respected broadcaster in the Windy City, first for the Cubs and ultimately with the White Sox.
