Presented is a handsome road gray knit St. Louis Cardinals jersey from Hall of Famer Dennis Eckersley, a shirt linked to the tail end of his remarkable 24-year MLB career. The six-time All-Star and 1992 MVP electrified the baseball world with a dual career first as a starter and ultimately as perhaps the top reliever in the game. That unusual confluence of talents yielded a 191-171 lifetime log, 390 Saves and a berth in Cooperstown. The shirt has the six-button front with the elegant chenille-stitched Cardinals Bat and Birds logo; Eckersley’s No. 43 and NOB are in red-on-midnight navy tackle twill. The iconic Jackie Robinson 50th Anniversary patch is affixed to the right sleeve with zig-zag stitching. Rawlings label appears on the inner back tail, with three flap tags with Size 46, “I-Inch Extra” and “Set 1 1997.” The shirt reveals light overall wear and intense collar staining. A faint autograph appears on the left front chest.
