Offered is an impressive group of World Series and Press Pins from Hank Aaron’s personal collection, an array that was ultimately gifted by Aaron to his personal assistant, Susan Bailey. Included in the group along with 14 souvenir pins is a 2000 All-Star Game Ballpoint Pen in its original box and an EnviroMint 2000 All-Star Game 1 ¾-inch in diameter Silver Coin, also in its pristine original box. The two World Series Press Pins are from 1991 and 1995, with both found in their original boxes and in essentially as-issued condition. The 2000 All-Star Game Ballpoint Pen is in its original 7-by-2 ½-inch box and the EnviroMint Silver Coin in an elegant 3 ½-inch wooden box with felt interior, with all elements essentially as issued. The dozen Press Pins from Aaron’s collection focus primarily on his fabled 715th Home Run or the anniversary of the historic moment, with one commemorating the All-Century Team and the final piece a 1 ¼-by-1 ¾-inch bronze replica of Aaron’s iconic 1954 Topps Rookie card; all pieces are essentially as issued, with the pins presented in a covered frame with felt backing. A copy of a Letter of Authenticity from Bailey accompanies the lot, along with a Bailey/Aaron hologram that is affixed to the boxes and the back of the framed configuration.
