Presented is a complete set of the intriguing 1969 Topps Football issue, one of the more unusual Topps productions from the era in that it boasts two distinct design styles within a single set. The offered array is in a relatively wide condition range of essentially Very Good to Ex-Mt, with a dozen cards reaching above the range to Near-Mint, all of those in the first series. As noted, the set is unusual in having two different design styles: Series One (Nos. 1-132) has borderless cards with colorful panels that bleed to the edge, while Series Two has the traditional white border as a design element. Overall, the set comes out to five percent Near-Mint, 28 percent Ex-Mt, 28 percent Excellent and 39 percent equally divided between Very Good and VG-Ex. The lot includes one additional card, the white-border variation of No. 132 Checklist card.
