Offered is a highly attractive example of the 1974 Topps Basketball, the largest basketball set Topps had ever produced to that time. The near set is found here in strong Near-Mint to Near-Mint to Mint range, with a few Ex-Mt cards and the emphasis clearly to the upper end of the spectrum, essentially as issued and boasting outstanding color and gloss; the Tier One Hall of Famers and key Rookies conform to the wider condition range. About four dozen or so of the array have the kind of centering that might prompt thoughts of an upgrade, though not all of those would be severe enough to dictate a formal off-center qualifier. Breakdown of keys: No. 1 Abdul-Jabbar – Ex-Mt-Plus, 10 Maravich – Near-Mint-Plus, 25 Monroe – Near-Mint to Mint, 30 Hayes – Near-Mint, 39 Walton Rookie – SGC Authentic, 40 Bing – Nr-Mt, 50 Barry – Nr-Mt-Plus, 55 Robertson – Nr-Mt-Plus o/c, 100 Havlicek – Ex-Mt-Plus, 113 Bradley – Nr-Mt, 129 Collins Rookie – Ex-Mt, 196 Gervin Rookie – Nr-Mt, 200 Erving – Nr-Mt to Mt and 250 Chamberlain – Ex-Mt-Plus. The missing card is No. 225 Memphis Team Leaders.
