Presented is an important garment from a standout ABA star, Bird Averitt, who turned in his finest season in 1975-76, the same year the club unceremoniously folded, adding import to an already significant gamer from a player who averaged a career-high 17.9 ppg that fateful season and had a considerable cult following. The royal-blue mesh jersey has the oversized collar and arm-yoke accents with red/white braid, with white/red/white 3 ¼-inch braid side panels. It has white-on-red tackle twill identifiers, with uniquely fonted “Kentucky,” NOB and numerals. Rawlings Size 42 red label is straight-stitched affixed with “1-Inch Extra Length” flap tag. This is a beautifully designed jersey from one of the key franchises in the long-defunct league, showing solid, season-long wear.
