This has got to be one of the most charming non-sport sets ever issued, the 1951 Bowman Jets, Rockets, Spacemen cards that feature incredible, vivid artwork of science-fiction marvels, from goofy space creatures to fantastic rocket ships, all neatly portrayed on hyper-colorful 2 1/16-by-3 1/8-inch cards that are really mini works of art. The array with considerable duplication includes more than two dozen cards from the difficult middle series; overall, the array comes out to roughly five percent Excellent, 47 percent Very Good, 30 percent Good and 13 percent Fair, with about a half dozen cards falling below, most of those from having suffered the indignity of having been affixed to a scrapbook. The breakdown of duplication: No. 2 (3), 4 (3), 5 (2), 7 (3), 11 (2), 14 (2), 16 (3), 17 (3), 18 (3), 19 (3), 20 (3), 22 (2), 24 (2), 25 (2), 26 (4), 28 (3), 30 (3), 31 (2), 33 (3), 34 (3), 35 (3), 41 (2), 54 (2), 69 (2), 73 (2), 76 (2) and 105 (2).
