Here’s a really cool lot for non-sport collectors, a sampling of many of the great issues from the 1950s and 1960s, from the fabled Mars Attacks, Davy Crockett, Batman, Civil War cards from Topps to Jets, Rockets and Spacemen from Bowman and the legendary Stooges triumvirate and Hogan’s Heroes pasteboards from Fleer. The array is as eclectic as it is imposing, with largely Ex-Mt to Near-Mint cards from nearly a dozen different genres providing a great prize for non-sport fans and type collectors. Here’s the breakdown chronologically (condition broadly Ex-Mt to Near-Mint unless otherwise indicated): 1) 1951 Bowman Jets, Rockets and Spacemen (9 different) Nos. 6, 15, 19, 21, 26, 29, 30, 31 and 33; 2) 1953 Topps Who-Z-At Star? (16) – Nos. 13, 15, 16, 21, 22, 23, 36, 44, 54, 59, 63, 64, 67, 68, 72 and 74, including Spencer Tracy, Lana Turner and Janet Leigh; 3) 1954 Topps Scoops (15), mostly Near-Mint, a few Ex-Mt – Nos. 23, 32, 34, 37, 38, 52, 54, 69, 78, 86, 90, 92, 114, 142 and 149; 4) 1956 Topps Davy Crockett (5) – No. 31, 42, 48, 61 and 69; 5) 1959 Fleer Three Stooges (41, mostly different with a half dozen duplicates; 6) 1962 Topps Mars Attacks (37), mostly different and pretty evenly divided between Ex-Mt, Excellent and Very Good, with a couple below; 7) 1962 Topps Civil War News (17), mostly Ex-Mt to Near-Mint with a couple below; 8) 1965 Topps Battle Cards (30), mostly different, primarily Near-Mint with a few Ex-Mt; 9) 1965 Fleer Hogan’s Heroes (11); 10) 1966 Topps Lost in Space (13), mostly Near-Mint; 11) 1966 Topps Batman (13 different); and 12) a Near-Mint copy of Femme Fatales Magazine, with a feature inside on the women of Mars Attacks.
