Presented is a really nice array touching the final three years of Bowman’s colorful regime in the baseball card arena, a group including nearly two dozen cards from the legendary 1953 Bowman Color issue and fully four dozen from 1955. The lineup includes seven Hall of Famers, along with several important Rookie cards and an array that included many of the important stars of the era. The breakdown: 1953 Bowman Color (22) – mostly Good, with a few Fair, including No. 8, 11, 13, 17, 19, 55 Durocher, 56, 63, 119, 122, 123, 125, 127, 128, 138, 139, 140, 142, 147, 148, 150 and 152; 1954 Bowman (7) – mostly Good, couple Fair but all are miscut, including No. 49, 59, 84 Doby, 105, 107, 202 and 217; and 1955 Bowman (48 different) – mostly Good to Very Good, with some above to Excellent, including No. 9 McDougald – Excellent, 38 Wynn – VG-Ex, 60 Slaughter – Ex, 65 Zimmer Rookie – Ex-Plus, 67 Larsen – Ex-Mt, 68 Howard Rookie – VG-Ex, 121 – Good (mk), 158 Hodges – VG, 160 Skowron – VG-Ex, 169 Furillo – Ex-Plus, 191 Lemon – Ex and 213 Kell – VG, plus Burdette, Bruton, Grammas, Grissom, Meyer, Pafko, Pierce, Piersall, Robinson, Roe, Shuba and Strickland.
